 On May 26, 2010 searchin4spirits had the honor of going out to Sequin Island to do an investigation.  We took a boat to the island and climbed the hill to begin the investigation,  It was beautiful weather and the group was very excited to be there.  There are alot of claims on the island and Kristin one of our investigators had done alot of research before we arrived.    When you enter the lighthouse there is a room before you go into the lighthouse and we choose that area for our set up.  We immediately started setting up our DVR and camera system.    We were given a tour of the museum by a memeber of the friends of Sequin and then set up recorders and camcorders in there.  We also set up a recorder and a camcorder in the engine house at the bottom of the hill.  Once we got our equipment set up we waited till dark to start our investigation.  We had six investigators and as always we never investigate alone so we split up in groups and started our investigation.  We went to alot of different areas of the island and we had a few personal experiences.  At one point Jeff, Dennis, Kristen, and Robin were in the pump house and we were getting alot of K-II hits.  We were asking questions and getting direct responses.  We had done EMF sweets and the EMF level in the lighthouse was very low so we couldnt say what caused the K-II responses..could it of been a spirit??  We cant say for sure but it was exciting.  At another point Robin and Dennis were in the lighthouse doing a EVP session,  we had put a ball on the floor of the lighthouse and we asked if anyone could move the ball..and to our surprise the ball did move a couple of inches.  We also tried to contact any keepers that might be in the lighthouse and asked them to hurry..we needed more oil to keep the light going and we did get a phantom smell of oil and followed it up to the top of the lighthouse.  Could we have contacted a keeper from the past??  Dennis and Robin also heard footsteps as they sat at the top of the lighthouse.  The session was over a hour and quit a few personal experiences.  There is a report of a piano playing on the island.  But that night we were not able to hear that.  Two of our investigators, Dennis and Wayne, were in the engine house that night trying to communicate with anyone who may be in there.  We did get a voice on our recorder and the door of the engine house did close for them.  They tried to debunk the door closing but the wind was blowing in the opposite direction and the way the door closed was very different.  The voice sounds like it it saying "hey" .  We are still in the process of having our recorders analyzed but will have the site soon.  Other evidence that was found was a voice on a recorder from the oil house and also we have a strange sound on a recorder from the tower of the lighthouse itself.  We are having our recorders analyzed before we put them on the site to make sure we have checked eveything out before we share it with everyone.  Hopefully soon they will be done.It was a great investigation and a honor to of been able to go to the island.  We thank Dee the president of The Friends of Sequin for allowing us the chance to go to the island and thanks to Ethan from Fish N Trips for taking us out to the island and picking us up. (Hope your nose is better, sorry again)As soon as our recorders  are done at analysis we will add any voices we caught.  I do want to add that the island is a beautiful place and has a mystique about it.  If anyone has a chance to visit the island you should go.....it is a great place to visit and maybe you will meet some of the former residents that may still linger on the island.Enjoy the pics and check back more pics to follow.
